A letter that changed minds.
The Indian Govt. had begun a campaign for Clean India, under which there was a short film competition as well. This was when Khat Aya Hai was formed. Although, this time, even the rainy season was something that we were confident enough to deal with. But this time, we also waited patiently for some really good content to takes it owns sweet time and get brewed. Eventually, the script for Khat Aya Hai was written, along with a strong pre-production and paperwork.
An absolutely delightful casting was locked. The locations that were found were perfect. All the equipments were tested OK. The results of a flawless pre-production were witnessed during the shoot which went on very smoothly. Each and every member of the team knew the tiniest detail of the entire film. The shoot wrapped up as per schedule and further the post-production also took its precise time and this is how Khat Aya Hai finally got completed. We submitted to film festival but unfortunately it did not get selected there. Although the film had great success in other festivals and won many awards. With an important thought in mind, each of us felt that, the film was not just limited for the purpose of the film festival, but the intention with which it was made, and the message that it gives should be fulfilled. That is exactly what happened. Khat Aya Hai was Aghaaz’s biggest and the most viral short film. It reached to about 15 million people through Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram. Big names from the industry took note of the film and shared and appreciated the film, opening even bigger avenues for the film. The newspaper articles or the press interviews that we gave regarding the film, got us immense amount of recognition and an identity. But more than any of this, this heartfelt letter reached up to about 1.5 crore people. We got many messages from people, appreciating the film. Some even sent us their best wishes through letters itself!
